Los Ballesteros, Sterling and Amethyst Pendant - Sterling Chain Necklace

This is a show stopper! A large sterling and amethyst pendant is by Los Ballesteros. It is marked on the back with their hallmark and Sterling 925, Hecho en Mexico and the eagle mark. This was created between 1948 to 1970. The clasp on the chain is marked: Sterling, Mexico. The pendant is 3 x 3 inches. The chain is 18 inches. One of the tips of the third design down from the top on the left side is missing, otherwise it is in good condition. This can be seen in the image.

Los Ballesteros is one of the major Mexican silver designers from Taxco, Mexico. He is documented in the reference book: Mexican Silver by Penny Chittim Morrill and Carole A. Berk.
