Hand Painted Heinrich Porcelain Vase by Surber

Up for sale is a beautiful hand-painted, one-of-a-kind porcelain item by Master China Painter, Margaret Surber. On a creamy ivory background she has painted a brilliant fall scene with acorns and autumn colored leaves. The pillow vase, trimmed with 24kt gold highlights, measures 7" x 6" x 4", it is signed and dated, 1975 on the side. The vase has a blue stamp on the bottom: Heinrich, Germany with crown. The condition of the vase is excellent with no chips, cracks or damage.

Margaret Surber (American, 1913 - 2001) won many awards for her china painting, including three ribbons at the 1963 World's Fair in Seattle. She was the president of the International China Painting Teachers Association. She also wrote several books about how to paint on porcelain.
