As elegant as the Victorians this painted milkglass toothpick holder is a Swan lover's delight for on it three of the birds can be spied with necks and breasts extended. They are found amid a stand of cattails and grasses most of which still retain their original gold paint. The top edge is scalloped, the bottom edge fluted, and the birds very well detailed. The holder stands 2 3/8" tall, is 2 5/8" wide (from neck to neck) and 2 1/8" in diameter at the top. You'll find it to be in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks just expected paint wear that's mostly on the Swans and top edge. A cultivated choice for toothpicks or flowers in the dining room or tweezers and nail files in the bath.
