1930's - 40's Brass Table Lamp w/ Exotic Bird Shade

The perfect size for your bath, boudoir or bedroom this lovely lamp from the early 20th century is sure to brighten your day (or night....) Made of brass with a seashell motif on the base it is topped with a hand painted glass shade that sports a lined texture done in a somewhat opalescent finish. A Parrot or Bird of Paradise amid florals resides on each side, each done in blue, green, yellow and orange. The lamp is dainty, measuring just 15.25" tall to the top of the finial with a base diameter of 5" and a shade diameter of 7.25". It takes a regular sized bulb, is turned off & on via a pull-chain on the socket and is unmarked. It is in wonderful condition aside from a minute chip on the edge of the shade that's felt rather than seen. It still retains its original bakelite plug and works well. Nicely weighted and shiny still your dresser never had it so good!
