Looking to add a little whimsy and cheer to your guest room, Bed & Breakfast, or Victorian boudoir? Then consider the Tookie Bird (or a flock, actually) who's perched and prominent on the edges of this English Pitcher and Bowl set. The birds are a colorful concoction of yellow, blue and red (although some may call it orange) who are congregated among branches and seem to look about with a "Who, me?" expression on their face. The set is full-sized, with the pitcher measuring 12.5" high to the top of the spout, 10.25" long from spout to handle and 6.6" in diameter, while the bowl is 15.5" in diameter and 5 3/8" high. Both pieces are in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks just expected wear to the gold highlighting in places, minimal wear to the Tookies, and age crazing and light use scratches on the bottom of the bowl. Both pieces are marked "Regal Ware R.P. Co., Made in England" on the bottom indicating they were made by the Regal Pottery Company of Stoke-on-Trent between 1925 and 1931. An unusual set that's both fabulous, fun and functional. You'll like!
