1930's - 40's Rosenthal Vegetable Bowl w/ Parrots

We are pleased to offer you this exquisite vegetable bowl from Germany featuring one of the most beautiful patterns we have ever come across. Along the top border and front & center you'll find a long-tailed Macaw Parrot, perched among a profusion of pink and lavender blossoms and surrounded by an abundance of leaves. The remaining sides of the bowl have still more Parrots, each with an inquisitive look upon its face and perhaps a hopeful one - a bite of your feast, Miss? The bowl is generously sized at 9.75" x 10 3/8" x 2.5" and features formed handles on each side. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, just a bit of gold loss along the edges, especially at one handle (please note I have since removed the dark spot that appears in the pic). It is marked "Rosenthale, Selb, Bavaria" on the bottom, a mark that indicates it was produced between 1934 and 1956. A truly outstanding bowl, one we're certain you'll be proud to own.
