Early 1900's Royal Doulton Flow Blue Soup Bowls
A group of three vividly colored, flow blue soup bowls from Royal Doulton produced between the years of 1902 to 1922, each featuring a Bird of Paradise amid foliage in the center and roses amid the flow on the rim. Measuring just over 7.5" in diameter and 1.25" tall, they are in good condition but do have age related blemishes such as crazing, production flaws on the edges, wear to the gold along the edge and a slight darkening to the white background in the middle. No chips, cracks or damage, which is rather amazing considering their 100+ (or nearly so) years. All are marked with the Doulton logo which corresponds to the above years with "D4053" or "D4057" painted on and "Colin" stamped into the base of one. A desirable collection with gorgeous detail, controlled flow and beautiful birds suitable for both use and display.
