Here is a great old salt glazed stoneware jar that has a quirky lopsided top! This two gallon jar has such charm and character, due to it's manufacturer's slightly imperfect way of molding the clay. Sometimes these odd "seconds" can be fun and special, as is this wonderful example. It measures just over 13" tall, about 6 1/2" wide at the mouth and it has the number "2" impressed into the front. There are lots of glaze pops, some age crackling on the surface (but no cracks!) and some chips on the bottom rim, but this is still such a great old piece! A beauty for your country primitive home decor!
