Wooden Butter Mold Cookie Press
This mold is of solid wood construction with 8 patterns which when placed on cookie dough or a large slab of butter not only divides but decorates each of the eights sections. It is early 20th century probably 1920's possibly 30's -we are basing this estimate of age on materials used(copper tacks etc). Although most often used for display in country , primitive homes it is sound and in very good usable condition. The patterns are florals and thistles resembling designs such as what would be seen painted on Pennsylvania Dutch furniture.
