Impressive Vintage Powder Bowl w/Hallmarked Lid "Marguerite"
Marked MARGUERITE 1933 and fully hallmarked, this is beautiful. 4 1/2 wide x 3 inches tall, the glass is excellent with no chips or cracks. The silver and tortoiseshell lid has a couple of minute dings on the rim. The silver decal in the middle with the name has two very slight scores. From 1933, this has received loving care. I believe the hallmark is: W Ld C (the Ld short for Limited). I can't find it listed but it is a Birmingham mark as you can see from the anchor, Lion assay mark and a large A. Absolutely gorgeous - personally I don't mind name and initials of other people if I love the item.
