Antique Art Nouveau Cut Glass and Sterling Silver Vanity Jar
This is a lovely antique cut glass vanity or dresser jar with a sterling silver lid in an Art Nouveau repousse design. It is an unusual oval shape and simply cut. The lid is hallmarked with British marks for 1906. I wasn't able to identify the maker's mark.
It measures 3 3/4 inches tall and it is about 3 inches wide. It is in very nice condition. The polished bottom has typical shelf wear marks. There is a very small chip on the interior of the top edge, a bubble in the glass near the edge and another even smaller chip, really more like a rough spot, where the lid comes in contact with the jar. None of these are noticeable.
