C F Monroe Wavecrest Open Dresser Jar Egg Crate Design

This lovely antique open dresser jar is from the C F Monroe company Wavecrest line and it is made in a blown out egg crate style. It is made of custard glass with the delicate raised enamel floral decoration typical of these pieces. The brass mount is very detailed and beautiful and features ornate handles on either side. This piece is unmarked and has the remains of a very old paper label on the bottom. It dates to the late 1800s. It would be a great addition to a vintage vanity.

It is about 3 1/2 inches wide and about 2 inches tall. It is in excellent condition with some minor surface wear and the expected age wear to the bottom. The brass mount is in very good condition with a little patina. It would polish up nicely if you wanted it shiny.
