Antique Victorian White Cut to Cranberry Vase Richardson's
This is a beautiful Victorian glass vase white cut to cranberry which was made by Richardson's in England around the late 1800's. This vase looks like a Bohemian piece, but one of my fellow Ruby Lane sellers, Colin, from Classy Glass, was able to identify it as having been made by Richardson's. The glass is three color overlay in cranberry, clear, and white, cut back to the cranberry. It has gold outlining the design, though this is worn.
There is a manufacturing flaw near the base where it looks like something was dragged through the glass while it was still soft. Apparently these manufacturing flaws are common in these vases. There is the expected amount of wear to the bottom. Except for this, it is in wonderful shape with no chips, cracks or roughness. It is 9 inches tall, 1 5/8 inches across the top and 4 1/8 across the base.
