Van Briggle Oak Leaf and Acorn Bowl in Turquoise Glaze
This beautiful bowl features an oak leaf and acorn motif and is glazed in a matte turquoise blue glaze. A lovely example of art pottery from the Van Briggle Pottery and Tile company, it dates to around the 1940s. It has incised marks on the bottom - the Van Briggle double A logo and the words Van Briggle Colo. Spgs. There is also a 6 which is probably a model number.
It measures about 3 inches in height and about 6 inches across. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. There is a brown spot in the glaze on the interior (from manufacturing) and some wear to the bottom.
