This gorgeous item is an Art Deco lusterware double master salt (open salt) which features a figure of a flapper. The flapper figure has bobbed hair and she is partially nude. She is kneeling and holding one of the salts and the other is behind her. The salt holders are removable. She has red hair and is wearing a green gown and an orchid shawl or scarf. The salts are cream colored and decorated with orange lines. This dates to the 1920s or 30s. There is a number incised on the base of the piece as can be seen in the photos. I believe that it is probably a model number. I haven't been able to identify a maker, but I did recently see a similar piece that was attributed to Rorstrand, so this may have been made by them. A very rare and unusual item!
She is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
