This is a pair of wonderful Art Deco cast iron bookends featuring nude figures, called Tapestry Dancer. Each bookend shows a partially nude flapper, one foot lifted to her knee, holding a tapestry behind her. They are made of cast iron and are very heavy. These bookends are unmarked.
They have been repainted, probably more than once, in silver paint. They would originally have been a gold color with green on the tapestry. There is a hole in the back of one as can be seen in the pictures. They still display very well.
