This gorgeous Art Deco Ceramic flower frog is a classic image of the goddess Diana the huntress. I have seen quite a few scarf dancer flower frogs, but never this image. She is posed with her hand on the neck of a leaping deer and the figure is glazed in an ivory white. The detail is exceptional. Again, many similar pieces lack the level of detail that is shown in this one. I believe that this piece was probably made by Coronet and is likely German, but the only mark is an impressed model number.
She is about 8 inches tall and about 6 inches across the base. Excellent condition. The only flaw I see is a small manufacturing defect on her outstretched arm.
I have three of these beautiful flower frogs, all from the same collection of Art Deco, all lovely.
