Here is a wonderful little round incense burner with little leaf feet from Vantine's. To read about Vantine's fascinating store, check the link in my Favorites. A.A. Vantine was one of the first to begin imports from the Far East in the 1860's. His New York store continued in existence into the early 20th century. This incense burner is from the 1920s and is probably from France. It has a very pleasing round form and stands on three little feet that are in the form of leaves. It still retains some of its dark green paint, but much of it is worn off, particularly on the top. It has definitely been used, and still retains a faint smell of incense as well as incense resin on the interior of the lid. I didn't attempt to remove this, though I'm sure it would come off if desired.
It is 3 1/2 inches in diameter and about 3 1/2 inches tall. Marked Vantine's on the bottom.
