Roseville Blue Clematis Hanging Basket

The glaze on this vintage piece is blue with a slight greenish hue. It has a round bowl shape bottom with a rounded 'point' in the center, and a narrowed neck with 3 holes for hanging. The handles are very stylish. The large flowers have a pale yellow center and whitish petals and they are a nice contrast against the bark texture of the body and the detail of the green leaves.

Marked "U.S.A." on the exterior rim near one handle. Roseville assigned No. 470-5 to this piece.

It measures about 5 ¾" across the rim; the height is about 5 ½" tall.

Very Good Condition: general overall crazing and interior use stains; no cracks; a couple glaze skips on the bottom, the largest of which is about the size of a pinhead. There are 4 worn glaze skips at the rim and a clay flaw on the bottom.
