Adams China Calyx Ware Ming Toi Octagonal Covered Vegetable Bowl

This is a wonderful and hard to find serving piece in this pattern, and it is beautiful! The classic octagonal shape has two decorative handles and the tall acorn finial on the lid has moulded flower petals at its base. The color is a beautiful pale green background. The transfer pattern depicts an Asian inspired plant with a crane flying by. The colors include golden brown and several shades of blue.

It is marked “Adams; Member of The Wedgwood Group; Calyx Ware; Ming Toi”. It measures about 8 ½” across the rim and 6 ¼” to the top of the finial. This pattern was discontinued in the late 1970’s after about 10 years of production.

Excellent Condition: no chips, cracks, crazing or nicks. The very top of the finial/knob has some scratches.
