McKee Square Seville Yellow Salt and Pepper Range Shakers
These range size shakers have Art Deco style black labels on hard to find Seville Yellow bodies. One is labeled Salt and the other is Pepper. They have the original screw-on dome top lids, with larger holes on the Salt shaker. They are a thick, heavy semi-opaque glass and the bodies are square with rounded shoulders.
They are unmarked, ca. 1930s. Each measures about 5 ½" tall without the cover, about 2" across the rim and 2 ½" across the foot.
Very Good Condition: no cracks, chips or heavy scratches. The tops have minor roughness from use and the bottoms have shelf wear scratches. Both covers have pitting, especially the salt lid, due to the corrosive nature of salt. The pepper lid has a couple shallow dents. The label on the salt has significant wear, retaining about 50% while the pepper label has minor wear, retaining about 85%.
This set of shakers is made in the desirable and hard to find Seville Yellow, and it would be a terrific addition to any collection. Don't miss out!
