David Davidson Hand Tinted Photograph Sunset Point Rhode Island

David Davidson Hand Tinted Photograph titled Sunset Point RI.

This is a black and white photograph which was hand colored and offered for sale by David Davidson's Studio in the early part of the 20th century, circa 1915 to 1935. Davidson was a contemporary of Wallace Nutting, who was the most famous and most prolific of the artists producing this type of artwork for sale. Pictures like this were very popular to give as wedding gifts in their heyday.

This picture originally had the David Davidson Studio stickers which have been lost, but according to the stickers, this picture is titled "Sunset Point" and the photograph was taken at a park dedicated to Roger Williams, at Providence, Rhode Island.

The frame measures 18" x 15", the picture is a sunset that is primarily yellow. David Davidson's signature is directly on the photo, along with the title. The condition of the photograph is excellent. There are no water stains, and no signs of fading or foxing. The size and condition of this picture make it a wonderful selection to add to your collection!

This is a beautiful picture! Davidson's work has always been a favorite due to his artistic eye and his recognizable signature. This picture would complement any collection!
