Sterling Silver Annular Celtic Tara Pin Brooch
This lighweight pin is crafted to resemble an ancient brooch found in Ireland in 1850. At the time, Celtic Revival designs had become popular, resulting in new designs based on the ancient example. This piece is likely ca. 1930s and it has a lot of detail with a wonderful, rustic 3-dimensional look. It has Celtic interlacing, scrolls, beads and twists with a C-clasp.
It is marked "Silver" and tests as Sterling. It measures about 1 3/4" across, excluding the scepter. It weighs about 6 grams.
Excellent Condition: no bends or breaks.
