A Victorian 18ct Gold, Seed Pearl & Enamel Pendant-Brooch. Circa 1865.

A Victorian 18ct gold pendant-brooch, of circular design with a domed centre set with a blue enamel star centred by a seed pearl. the dome, framed by a tubular edge.The reverse set with a glass locket. Circa 1865. Measurements, just over 1 1/8" in diameter. Glass locket, 5/8" in diameter. Depth ( from top of dome to reverse of pendant) approximately 1/2". The bale for the pendant is hinged, so it can be hidden if worn as a brooch. Condition, Good, there are two small dents to the lower tubular rim ( see photo ), as these are on the lower edge, they aren't very noticeable. The gold has been acid tested as 18ct gold. The pin and the locket bezel are 9ct gold.A very wearable early pendant-brooch.
