Extraordinary Bronze, Sterling Silver, and Coin Gold Enameled Limoges Antique Tankard (Mug, Stein) featuring "Owls in the Moonlight"- Hand painted & Signed by the Late 19th Century Artist 'A Mills'

Owls are the ones who see without seeing and hear without hearing; the ones who can hear what is not spoken and ones that see things without physical sight."

Large Limoges France Tankard Mug (Beer Stein) showcasing Two Screech Owls perches on a gnarled tree against a luminous Full Moon (on both sides). Uniquely decorated with a High Gloss Glass Finish, the moon is enameled in Gold with Silver enamel Owl silhouettes clinging to a Bronze enameled Tree branch. The Tankard handle becomes the trunk of the tree, also painted in Bronze Enamel. The Black background creates the illusion of night and silence. This is an extraordinary Porcelain Art Form, with its unique use of enamels and its wonderfully executed Hand-painted work. Certainly a magical Artware piece perfect for this Halloween Season or any Eclectic tankard collection!
