Mid Century Renoir Copper Cuff Bracelet and Earring Set

For your consideration a 1950's Renoir cooper bracelet and earrings set. The cuff bracelet fits my 7 1/2 in with comfort. The width on the bracelet is 2 3/8 in wide with a 1 1/8 opening. The design is very simple and elegant with a twist. The top is domed as are the matching earring. The bracelet is marked Renoir on the side and the earring are marked on the back. Earrings are 3/4 in by 5/8 in and are clip.

Renoir vintage costume jewelry is well known for its "modernist" designs in solid copper.

"Renoir of Hollywood" was founded by Jerry Fels, his brother-in-law, and another friend in 1946. Fels chose the name, Renoir, after noticing the success of Monet costume and he wanted the name to reflect his intent of producing fine, artistic jewelry. One will notice that Renoir and Matisse copper jewelry, despite its age, shows no sign of tarnish. Renoir of California developed a clear enamel coating which prevented tarnish and discoloration.
