Art Deco Pot Metal Pink Rhinestone Pin

For your consideration a really beautiful Pot Metal pin from the 1930's. I have a real love for this style of jewelry. During the 1930's pot metal pins came into fashion as the metals that were used for making costume jewelry was being used in the war effort. Very Art Deco in design this pin has almost a hit of an Egyptian feel in the winged sections. There are 2 main sections and 2 sets of dangles that have great movement. The size of pin is 3 in long by 1 in wide. Closure is a pin with safety clasp. This is a great example of pot metal jewelry that is getting hard to find.

POT METAL: a generic term for base metal used in costume jewelry manufacture; while oftentimes plated with gold or silver, during the 1930s many pieces were left unplated as a cost-saving measure and collectors refer to these pieces as "pot metal" when describing them; pot metal usually has a dull finish akin to pewter when left un plated.

Circa-1930 Condition-Previously Worn: Good over all condition. Original stones and a gold wash over the base pot metal. Please zoom in for a closer look. Signed-No
