FRENCH Globe de Mariee Wedding Display Case with Wax Bridal Crown

Presented here is one of the most beautiful antique 1890s Globe de Mariee wedding display cases that I have ever seen!

This bridal case is breath taking.

~ It is wood with curved glass front and framed with ornate green and red brass open work bands around the edges. Each side has a large 7-1/2" oval glass window, and it rests on four dainty brass legs. A brass floral repousse arch graces the top back.

~ The interior features ruched French blue silk and pale buff cotton velvet.

~ At the back is a mirror finished in silk and French gold bullion trim.

~ The oval cushion in the center measures 6" wide, and is once again done in matching silk, velvet, and ribbon.

~ A brides floral wax wedding crown rests on top of the cushion and is reflected in the mirror at the back.

~ A small cluster of white porcelain flowers rest at the right edge of the cushion.

~ MEASUREMENT: 10-2/4" wide x 13-1/2" high x 6-3/8" deep.

~ CONDITION: Amazing for being 100+ years. Due to age, the mirror has some darkness along the outer edges, but center is beautiful. One of the white porcelain flowers is missing a petal. That is it! The silk is supple and soft, which is unheard of. There no cracks or chips in glass or mirror.

This piece is truly an must for for a collector and who can resist this beautiful piece for tabletop, vanity, or cabinet shelf.
