Rare Vintage RENOIR Copper Black Enamel Bold Modernist Recessed Squares Necklace

Vintage copper necklace by Renoir in a rare style featuring bold modernist square links with scalloped sides surrounding the recessed centers which have matte black enamel backgrounds and large copper bead accents

The back of the necklace is a layer of aluminum, found on some of Renoir and Rebajes' larger pieces made during the Korean War era due to the copper shortages at that time

Good vintage condition with some vintage patina and wear

Measures 3/16" thick, squares are 3/4" in diameter (width of the necklace) and the entire necklace is 18 3/4" long

Weighs a substantial 117 grams (4.1 ounces)

Unsigned but guaranteed Renoir; I don't know why it isn't signed unless perhaps an end link was removed which had the signature. I believe this was an early hand made Renoir piece
