The color! Think the “richest emerald meets freshly cut grass-green”, and that is what you'll find in this luscious natural Tsavorite garnet and diamond ring! If you're not familiar with the garnet family, you're likely surprised to learn that garnet isn't just that reddish-colored stone so readily available in many gold and silver pieces. Garnet can be found in yellows, pinks, orange hues and yes, greens! Known as Tsavorite and Demantoid, the green varieties of garnet are much rarer, and therefore more valuable, and this gemmy Tsavorite absolutely delights the senses! Set in a stunning stamped 18kt white gold 'cross-over' style mounting, the square-cushion modified brilliant cut Tsavorite weighs 0.60ct, measuring 5.21 x 5.03 x 3.07mm (depth estimate due to setting) with a very good cut. The garnet contains a wonderful display of needle-like inclusions which we had fun photographing on macro-mode. These inclusions point not only to the natural classification of this gem, but also delight the heart of a gemology lover! This is a very beautiful Tsav! I'm a May baby, so Emerald is my birthstone, but I admittedly would be elated wearing this green alternative.

The diamonds in the ring are of high quality, grading excellent F-G color and VS1 to Si1 clarity. Set with 10 bead-set round brilliant cut diamonds and 10 channel-set baguette cut diamonds, these crystal clear sparklers weigh a combined 0.85ct per our appraiser's assessment. The inner band is stamped with DO91, which is quite possibly the actual carat weight of the stones if they could be weighed loose, but we will state 0.85ct nonetheless per our gemologist's results.

A very solid and well-built ring, it weighs 6 grams and is currently a US size 6.25 (inner diameter 16.67-16.78mm). The design will allow for slight resizing, however, please always inquire about sizing before placing your order so we can be certain our jeweler can size to your requirements.
