Tiffany & Co. Original ART DECO Platinum Sapphire Diamond Ring

Most of us are familiar with Tiffany & Co., so I don't think we need to go into detail over the company itself or its reputation as one of the foremost fine jewelry designers in the world. Since the mid-1830's, Tiffany & Co. has been a standout in jewelry design & quality!

Here is a very special, rare find - our specialty at Divine Finds - and we're thrilled to be able to offer it to you at a very attainable price. In simply superb ORIGINAL condition, with no damage, dents, chips, missing or replaced stones, this gorgeous near-antique is a treasure to behold.

Crafted in solid acid-tested Platinum (there is a mark that looks like it could have been a Dog's Head, the French hallmark for Platinum, but it's too aged to decipher), everything about this beautiful ring says 'Regal'. The design is oh-so-Art Deco, complete with millegraining, etching, angular cut-outs under the gallery, and of course, sapphires & diamonds - the 'buzz' stones of that period. Naturally, it is hallmarked 'Tiffany & Co.'.

Held in place by 8 prongs is the central round-cut natural dark blue sapphire. While it is quite dark in tone, flashes & beams of brilliant blue glow from within, which several of our pictures show. It has fine eye-clean clarity (no visible inclusions with the naked eye) and weighs approximately 1.56ct, measuring 6.90 x 6.85 x 4.10mm round. There are no abrasions, scratches or chips, which can be quite common in jewelry this age! Someone has really taken care of this beauty... for obvious reasons!

The diamonds are just sensational. The 'halo' of 16 diamonds surrounding the sapphire are old round brilliant cut diamonds, totaling 0.21ct with very fine VVS-VS clarity and F-G color. On each side of the shank are 2 more diamonds (4 in total), these being Old European Cut diamonds, adding an additional 0.07ct to the diamond weight. They too are fine gems, VS1-VS2 in clarity and F-G in color. All diamonds appear original to the ring with no replacements.

Just glorious, this beauty has plenty of room to size up or down without difficulty. Currently a US Size 6 approximately (can likely fit between a 5 7/8 and 6 1/4), the platinum is thick with no weak spots, giving any jeweler lots of room to work with the platinum.
