Mesmerizing Vintage Platinum Semi-Black Opal & Diamond Ring

A medium dark gray body flashes just about every color imaginable... from bright green & yellow to purple, indigo & vivid red to a stunning rare teal blue. This blue is like no blue we've seen in opal - it's gorgeous! Measuring approximately 11.65 x 6.70mm pear cut, this beauty is estimated to weigh around 1.95ct, give or take a few points. It is a solid opal - not a doublet or triplet, and its bottom is clearly visible from both the sides & underneath the ring - the body color goes from top to bottom.

The ring is crafted in polished, stamped 10% Iridium Platinum and holds two fabulous tapered baguette-cut diamonds, one on either side of the opal. These diamonds are pristine clean, VS-Si1 clarity & water-white F-G color. Each baguette measures approximately 4.80 x 2.20mm, which by calculation falls around 0.12ct per diamond, or 0.24ct. There are no chips or abrasions to either the diamonds or the opal, and all gems are tight in their settings.

Currently the ring is a size 7 (inner diameter 17.30 - 17.40mm round), and sizing should be fairly easy up or down several sizes. Nonetheless, please always inquire about sizing first, especially as this ring is platinum. Sizing costs increase with platinum when sizing up.
