The PANTONE Color of 2023: Viva Magenta!
I'd absolutely be lying if I said this unbelievable ring wasn't my new favorite. Yes - I have LOTS of favorites, but none have quite stolen my breath in recent years the way this beauty did when I first laid eyes on her. I mean, I actually gasped, followed by saying 'Oh My Lord - it's STUNNNNNINGGGGGG'. Pretty sure my heart skipped a few beats.
What I'm gushing over is one truly remarkable natural vivid pink sapphire and diamond ring from award-winning designer JYE'S. Known internationally for their use of exquisite individually sourced gems, and never using less than G color, VS+ clarity diamonds, JYE'S has won multiple JCK Awards (one of the top in jewelry industry awards) and have been featured in magazines & press globally. Some of their pieces fetch in the millions, with attention to detail and quality always at the forefront of each piece.
This hallmarked 18kt + Palladium ring features a showstopping 2.02ct central oval-cut pink sapphire, bordering on very much being called a ruby from its magnificent saturation & tone. Is fire-engine pink such a thing? Glowing magenta? The color is UNREAL, and when the sun (or any) light hits it, she just explodes with life. Measuring approximately 8.80mm x 6.13 x 4.29mm (depth estimate), we estimate its carat weight to be 2.02ct. Completely eye-clean, only under magnification can we locate a few natural inclusions. Origin-wise, at a guess, we'd say Ceylon or Madagascar, both known for presenting very vivid, clean, brilliantly colored pink sapphire, however, we do not know the origin. She is, by far, the FINEST pink sapphire we've ever had to offer at forEVAgems.
Surrounding the sapphire are 14 round brilliant cut diamonds, each measuring approximately 2.00mm, with their color and clarity as noted above, being no less than F-G color and VS1 to VS2 clarity. Spotless to the naked eye and so white, they are the perfect surround for the piercing sapphire, all in perfect condition with no chips or flaws. Together, it is estimated the diamonds total 0.50ct.
The mounting is made of stamped 18kt white gold and Palladium, marked as 'PD' on the band, along with 'JYE'S' and serial code 29460K. Currently the ring is a US size 6.50 (inner diameter 16.75 - 16.80mm) and sizing will be possible up or down without issue with a skilled goldsmith. A solid ring, she weighs 5.80 grams, showing little to no wear, and no previous sizing that we can note.
