Each piece is handcrafted in Beaudry’s state of the art workshop, utilizing old-world techniques and featuring timeless design elements. Only the finest diamonds in the world are selected and used in the collection. In fact, each diamond must undergo rigorous inspection and meet the Beaudry 24 Point Standard of Perfection©".
Solid, weighing 9.90 grams, the earrings each hold one fancy yellow princess cut diamond measuring 3.18 x 3.18 x 2.39mm (depth est.), or 0.20ct each, for a combined 0.40ct. They grade excellent VS1 clarity, with 'very good' cuts and 'fancy yellow' in color. In a square halo surrounding each princess cut are an additional 12 (24 total) round brilliant yellow fancies, graded 'fancy intense yellow', VS1 - Si2 clarity, and measuring about 1.40mm each (measured within the setting).
A further 20 white (40 total) round brilliant diamonds surround those fancies, measuring approximately 1.58-1.60mm each, with VS2-Si1 clarity and white 'G' color. Combined, it is estimated the yellow & white round brilliants add 0.92ct to the carat weight, bringing the overall diamond carat weight to 1.32ct. High grade diamonds all-round, as expected in Beaudry pieces.
The design of these earrings is just so elegant, and I adore the little details tucked into the sides of the earrings, like the 18kt yellow gold scroll work and the perfect platinum millegrain beading and diamond-shaped edging. The backs are fully hallmarked on each earring with 'Beaudry', 900PT, 750 (for 18kt) and the serial code of B1900582.
The stud backs, which are 18kt white gold, are marked 750/18k FRM. One stud back appears to be a little loose, and being marked 'FRM', we believe it is likely these backs are not original to the earrings. We would advise using a different, more secure stud back, which we can supply (with notice) if necessary. I have tried using other backs, and they are nice & tight, so you may have a pair already in your collection that'll work perfectly.
