SUPREME 3.48ct Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Ring

The stunning central 'cushion-mixed cut' sapphire weighs an impressive 3.48ct, with the origin-opinion stated as Ceylon. Measuring 9.00 x 8.00 x 5.84mm, its color is a flashing - beaming - glowing rich Royal Blue with very slight purple/violet undertones in incandescent lighting. In daylight/fluorescent light, she's all blue! Its treatment is listed as 'none', and under magnification, rutile silk is visible, pointing towards that suggestion. Rutile silk dissolves (or 'melts') when sapphire & ruby are heated, so when it is visible & intact, as it is in this sapphire, treatment of any sort usually hasn't occurred.

Helping to show-off the amazing sapphire is a diamond setting of baguette & round single-cut diamonds. They are all set within 14kt stamped white gold and are piercing white F-H color. The baguette-cut diamonds total approximately 0.83ct and average VS-SI clarity. The single-cut diamonds add another 0.67ct to the setting, bringing the diamond carat weight up to 1.50ct. All sparkling eye-clean, these little round diamonds grade Si1-I1 clarity and decorate the tops & sides of the ring. This ring is SUCH A KNOCK-OUT!!

APPROXIMATELY a size 5 1/4 - 5 1/2 (inner diameter 16 - 16.20mm) currently, the ring may fit a little bigger than a 5 1/2, as the design of the ring allows 'head room' for the top of the finger. I usually wear around a 5 to 5 1/4, and can get away with wearing up to a 6 with some rings... this one seems to fit me like a 5 3/4 - 6. The bottom half of the shank/band doesn't have diamonds set in it, meaning sizing is possible, though cautiously, we'd suggest no more than 1 size up or down. Please always inquire first about sizing if necessary.
