The amazing diamond covered mounting is just fantastic, with rows of high-quality, white diamonds decorating the 18kt rosy hued gold + platinum setting. We say 'rosy', as it can look both rose gold hued with a hint of almost 24kt yellow gold hue at times. It's the perfect compliment to the piercing natural, untreated 2.40ct round-cut tanzanite at its center, which comes accompanied with an IGI identification report stating that evidence of thermal treatment (common with tanzanite) is typically lacking. The tanzanite is water-clean, with no inclusions visible to the naked eye, and measures 8.46 x 8.58 x 4.90mm round fancy cut. The tanzanite is a medium-toned perfect mix of blue-violet color and is securely prong-set in white gold prongs.
In a rounded 'bubble' or 'donut' halo surrounding the tanzanite you'll find dozens of white diamonds beautifully detailing the mounting. Reminiscent of a crown (in my opinion), there are 104 - yes - 104 diamonds just in the rose gold halo portion alone, all presenting as Si1-Si2 clarity and H-I color. This section of the mounting has six gorgeous teardrop cut-out shapes on its underside, finely detailed with millegrain beading - oh my gosh - sooooo pretty!
The diamonds then continue onto the PT900 platinum band of the ring, with 33 diamonds per side (66 total) running about halfway down each side. They too have fine clarity and color, averaging Si1-Si2 clarity and H-I color. Per the appraisal, the total diamond carat weight is estimated to be 1.33ct. With so many diamonds (170 in total), gauging individual stone sizes can be challenging, but they appear to range from 1.18mm to 1.38mm in size.
This ring is quality all-round, from its stunning design, high-quality gems and heavy 7.90 gram weight. Currently a US size 6.75 (inner diameter 17.06 to 17.71mm), sizing will be possible up or down within a range. Please always inquire about sizing before placing your order should it be required.
