Marvelous 20kt + PLAT. Crossover EDWARDIAN Emerald and Diamond Ring

We don't typically carry rings set in 20kt gold, simply because we rarely find them. We've had some 22kt gold pendants & earrings, but never a 20kt ring. The hallmarks are clearly stamped on the band, as you'll see in our 8th picture, however, our gemologist in the hustle of doing up 17 appraisals for us missed writing 'platinum' on the appraisal... so the stamps are shown so you can be certain of the metal content.

The diamonds are all set in the platinum, while the emeralds and shank of the ring are in 20kt yellow gold. Thirteen of each, the diamonds & emeralds are all about equal in size, with the center diamond measuring a decent 4.40mm round (0.28ct), and the center emerald 4.20mm round (0.26ct). The adjacent diamonds measure approximately 2.20mm round, and the smaller diamonds that run below the 'flower' measure about 1.70mm. Together, these diamonds add another 0.33ct to the diamond carat weight. All the diamonds are superbly clean VS1-Si1 clarity and crisp white G-H color! They are VERY VERY fiery!! The accent emeralds range from 2.10 - 1.80mm and they add 0.36ct the emerald carat weight. The appraisal notes one emerald as 'chipped', which is not uncommon in such an old piece with natural emeralds.

Aside from the '20K' and '10% IRID PLAT' markings there are numerous other stampings we are not familiar with, nor can we trace. They are not the style nor images of stampings found on British jewelry, which leads us to believe that perhaps the ring is European in origin, though we don't know. Alongside the platinum stamping there is also what looks to be the letter 'P' (possible date letter?) and a 5-pointed crown. On the opposite side with the 20K mark there are several stamps: 2 triangle shapes overlapping each other, the numbers 18 & 19 stamped as "18:19", and beside that some sort of image... maybe a plant of some sort... we just can't make it out!

This ring is gorgeous! It has beauty, flair, is made of hi-quality materials, and for its age, is in GREAT shape!! Yep...she's a keeper!!
