Fabulous large hand blown Art Glass Vase - New Orleans studio
REDUCED - From a local estate, here is an absolutely gorgeous art glass vase, hand blown, from a New Orleans studio. The lady of the house (now deceased) always supported local artists. Her daughter said that she carefully packed all her pieces and moved them upstairs before she had to evacuate for Hurricane Katrina. Though the house flooded, the pieces that had been moved upstairs survived. No maker's mark. Stands a little under 13 inches tall, 6 inches across rim. You have to see this piece to appreciate it - has a very nice satin glass finish - lovely shades of blue, mauve, and yellow. Excellent condition. It simply glows with soft color.....A one of a kind treasure!
