Victorian Scottish Pebble Brooch - Sterling & Natural Stone - 19th century

Here is a petite example of the Scottish "pebble" brooch - Scottish jewelry was made wildly popular by Queen Victoria in the mid-19th century, and everyone who went to Scotland simply had to have a piece!

This little circular example dates from around 1880 - it is set in sterling (not marked, but tested)- nice chased design. Stones are banded agate, jasper, carnelian, and bloodstone. Measures 1.25 inches across. Nice long pin with old style "c" clasp.
