This original impressionist style painting by the noted artist Segundo Huertas was done shortly after he came from Argentina to the United States in 1965 and likely reflects his travels thru the Rocky Mountain area. This depicts a small grove of Aspen trees on a rocky crest with a foggy background of conifer trees with the sunlight hi-lighting the golden leaves. The back of the stretcher has a hand written note that this piece was purchased in San Francisco in 1971. The details show the deft use of brush strokes and color to produce both texture in the bark and color to suggest light and shadow. This is a listed artist.
