If you have visited my shop before you will know that Italian Art Deco artist Tito Corbella (1885-1966) is one of my favourite artists of the period. No other painter quite captures the glamour and fragility of the women of the 'Roaring Twenties' in quite the same way as he.
This postcard features one of his favourite models in a typical Corbella profile pose. She wears a pale rose pink flowered dress and sits in front of an Ivy leaf background.
Although it bears no stamp or franking it does appear to have been postally used and sent from Bruxelles (Brussels) in 1920.
Issued by Proprieta artistica riservata, Milano 8/8/1918 it is Stampa No 6305 and #332-1.
With very minor corner bumps it is signed lower right and in very good vintage condition.
