Here I list another beautiful ballet postcard by Pierre Carrier-Belleuse (1851-1932).
Like Degas, Belleuse was famed for his delicate depictions of French ballet dancers.
Entitled 'La Partie de Cartes' (the Game of Cards) it features two lovely young ballerinas in casual pose on the floor, engrossed in a card game. In the background another dancer continues with her warm up routine.
Printed in Paris and issued in Estonia it is postally used to an address in Tallinn. Signed lower left, it is minus the stamp and franked and hand dated 1933.
With a small piece of album page residue verso and corner bumps this rare offering is in good Vintage condition.
