This is one of a pair in the Language of Flowers postcards I am listing today. (The other is 'Primevere'..Primrose..Ruby Lane ID RP36). They were both sent to Mademoiselle Anna Hody of Verviers Belgium in 1906.
Entitled 'Campanule' (Bell Flower), this is a real photo postcard signed lower right J V.
It depicts a demure and pretty young Art Nouveau maiden in a wedding veil. She is wearing a corsage of the lovely Bell Flowers and is also surrounded by stems of them.
The caption reads 'Mon coeur vous suit partout' (my heart goes with you anywhere) and in the language of flowers the Bell Flower means constancy or everlasting love.
In beautiful varied shades of green it is highlighted with gold detail.
Stamped, franked 1906 and postally used it has an early un-divided back and is serie 165 and in good Antique condition with age related soiling verso and album corner marks.
