Beautiful Art Nouveau Signed 'Yearning Maiden' Croatian Postcard
This wonderful old postcard is captioned 'Sehnsucht' (yearning or longing) and is created by Croatian painter Prof. Robert Auer (1873-1952).

It features a beautiful young Art Nouveau attired maiden, complete with floral hair garland. She sits, head on hands, pensively contemplating her absent lover.
In a monochrome color scheme of blue/green it has an un-earthly quality which is only found in old postcards from the Balkan states.
Postally un-used it has some corner bumps and creases and some age related soiling.
