Original Antique French Signed Sanguine Etching c1910 by Henri Boutet.

French Art Nouveau artist and master etcher Henri Boutet (1851-1919) was known in Paris as 'The Master of the Corset' because his works so captured the femininity of the Parisienne woman. From the humble shop girl, to women of fashion, he captured their sensuality and coquetishness.

This exquisitely simple sanguine Etching it titled lower right in the plate.. 'Danseuse'. It features a young ballet dancer as she twirls 'en point'.

Part of a series executed in 1910 it is signed with the artist's initials HB lower left, has a deep plate mark and is in good Antique condition.

Measuring just 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" including the small margins, it would look stunning paired with my other sanguine etching of the same size by Boutet..RP262.
