ON HOLD for Martina: Vintage Czech Alphonse Mucha Gallery Poster 'La Fleur' 1980.

Printed by Pressfoto, Prague, for the Alphons Mucha Gallery/Museum in 1980, comes this lovely vintage poster by renowned Art Nouveau artist Alphonse Maria Mucha (1860-1939).

Entitled 'La Fleur' (the flowers) it features one of Mucha's delightful ladies. Her hair is bedecked with lilies and she also holds a bunch to her cheek.

Originally executed in 1897 and printed by Champenoise of Paris, this is a Czech museum vintage re-print from 1980.

Measuring 23 1/4" x 15 1/2" it is in good condition.

I currently have it for sale in my bricks and mortar gallery with a deep peachy-cream matt and antique gilt frame, and it looks stunning. It bears the inscription 'Alfons Mucha Plakaty (poster) in the lower margin which I cannot photograph because of the frame

This is a genuine Vintage poster from the hay-day of Nouveau revival and NOT a modern poster.
