Art Nouveau French 'Vals Precieuse' Mineral Water Advertising Postcard. c1900.
The design is very much in the style of Alphonse Mucha, and could possibly be by him, but it is actually an un-signed artist work, that typifies the Art Nouveau era.
A beautiful young girl is holding a ewer of the precious 'Vals' and an almost invisible text behind the design is a fine example of one of the earliest forms of subliminal advertising. Listing the virtues of the product over and over again. Almost imperceptively.
Postally un-used and with some age related soiling verso, edge and corner bumps and album corner marks, the Antique condition is quite good.
