This Art Nouveau Easter postcard is typical of the early part of the 20th Century.

Dated 1908 it features 3 nuns watching an ethereal Angel holding a cross. They are surrounded by an organic decoration of lovely purple Irises (or Flags). It is representational of Jesus' leaving the tomb and bears the inscription 'Lo, the Saviour quits the tomb. Glowing with immortal bloom.'

Signed Basil and postmarked Susquehanna 1909. There is no artist signature but it is copyright NY and numbered 1611.

The condition is good with edge and corner wear.
