I have been lucky enough to find 5 Rare Vintage Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec Lithographs in original condition. This is one of them.
Printed in small format in Limited Edition in 1932 this one is titled 'La Goulue and Her Sister' and features them at the Moulin Rouge in Paris.
Originally painted in 1892 it is one of Lautrecs' most famous works.
La Goulue (the glutton) was really named Louise Weber and was known as the Queen of Montmartre. She made her name as a dancer and finished her act by revealing her panties that were decorated with hearts. See picture #2
Printed on Japan paper and signed in the print, the Lithograph is in fine Vintage Condition with full margins and just some slight over-all toning of the paper commensurate with age. There is a line of paper tape residue down one edge verso where it was originally tipped into an album or folder. It is not visible from the front and was once common practice.
The small format Lithographs became popular at the turn of the 20th century as they were more portable for collectors. They look wonderful when matted and framed.
Naturally this is an original 1930's piece and not a modern reprint.
