CHANEL Vintage Red Gripoix Glass Necklace ~ RARE to find!

Put red Gripoix glass from Chanel around your neck for Christmas or Valentine's Day...or other special days....wedding anniversary coming? What a glorious vintage Chanel necklace! The bubbles of round, rich ruby red Gripoix glass are topped by heavily gold plated bead caps on either side, linked by Chanel's trademark interlocking double "C" link design. Each bead cap features a scalloped, petal flower etching.

This necklace, at a wearable length of 17" inches, has a wonderful, weighty importance to it...a delightful feeling! ...yet it doesn't feel extraordinarily heavy on. To support this substantial piece, a very large spring ring closure does the job.

This gorgeous Gripoix, 14K gold heavily plated necklace is in excellent condition. It is more than 35 years old, dating it to the 1970's. The Chanel oval cartouche maker's mark is found on the last red glass bead next to the catch ring, as seen in the photo.
